How are window tints installed?
XPEL window films are installed by a professional dealer SET Protective Films Installation is quick and hassle-free and we will take you through the process step-by-step.
The film may be computer cut to precisely fit your windows and is usually installed on the interior side of the glass using adhesives that are water activated.
Window films usually need time to cure or dry out – usually for a number of days, but it can often be longer depending on the weather.
Will my window film bubble or turn purple?
No. Our window tint film is made with colour stabled dyed material with the most advanced technology that ensures your window tint won’t bubble or fade years later. In a worse case scenario, your window tint is covered by a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty and a free replacement installation on us.

Do XPEL window films require special care or cleaning?
XPEL window tint film can be cleaned with a regular microfiber cloth and any ammonia-free glass cleaner. If you’re interested in purchasing a window film safe glass cleaner, we have them for sale in our SET Protective Films shop.
Do clear window films provide the same benefits as darker films?
Clear window films provide the same 99% UV rejection and level of performance that darker films deliver, however, if you’re looking for an extra layer of privacy, a darker tint might better suit your needs.
